Sabbath Post: Humility of Jesus

I wanted to write a post on the humility of Jesus… then didn’t feel qualified to write it! If you are wondering if this is a joke or serious. Yes. But in all seriousness I admire Jesus and His humility AND I feel like I am still and always going to be on this journey of learning from His humility.

There are many definitions of humble…

Humility… is so important, seeing that humility in Jesus… and mirroring it. So powerful.

Today I just want to leave you with one of the defining passages on Christ’s humility. May you find the beauty in Jesus humility and rest in His presence this weekend.

From Pauls letter to the Phillipians:

“Do nothing out of selfishness or conceit, but with humility consider others as more important than yourselves, looking out not only for your own interests but also for the interests of others. Have this attitude in yourselves, which also was in Messiah Yeshua, Who, though existing in the form of God, did not consider being equal to God a thing to be grasped. But He emptied Himself— taking on the form of a slave, becoming the likeness of men and being found in appearance as a man. He humbled Himself— becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. For this reason God highly exalted Him and gave Him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Yeshua every knee should bow, in heaven and on the earth and under the earth, and every tongue profess that Yeshua the Messiah is Lord— to the glory of God the Father.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭2‬:‭3‬-‭11‬ ‭TLV‬‬
