Do I remember a time before the internet existed? Well that depends on what you count as the internet since the formation of said internet goes back to the 1960s… and apparently the internet in its current form was a slow rolling development so I am not entirely sure I can answer that…. Believe it or not I had already looked this up before this prompt (though I did go back and check)

However, If you mean… do I remember a time before we as a family had internet?

Yes I do actually. I remember when our computer guy Eric Seelye came to our house and installed our first dial up internet… the first website we visited was the NBAs website. We were quite into the Chicago Bulls at the time.

I’m not sure what year that was. My family was fairly “well to do” when I was a kid so my guess would be not too long after it became commercially available in our area. We lived in a small town in Northern Michigan.
