My life is literally a record of story upon story of God meeting me where I am… even when I run away from Him.
From the time he pushed my car off the road to prevent me from ruining my life…to the day he told me Jordan was the gal for me.
From the day I saw the giant 17 in the water.. as a sign for our children.1…To the day I held Haddie in my arms…
My life is living testimony of how God meets me where I am at.
The Bible is literally a record of story upon story of God meeting people where they are… even when they run away from Him.
From Elijah praying for fire and it falling on the mountain….to God making breakfast for Elijah in a cave when he runs for his life.
From the day where Simon Peter declared Jesus was Messiah…. To the day where Peter reconciled with Jesus over denying Him three times.
From the day Abraham threw his wife under the bus to protect his own life… to the day he was willing to give up everything to trust God.
From the day Jesus met Paul on the Damascus road (while on his way to throw Christians in prison)…. To the day he met Paul in prison, writing letters to encourage those very same people.
The Bible is living testimony of how God meets people where they are at.
This is how each of our lives are to operate… we are to seek His heart. Find Him. Live His life through our lives… and tell others about it.
This is what it means to be a follower of Yeshua (Jesus).
In the book of Revelation… it talks about a war that happens between Jesus… and the accuser. Those of us who know Jesus fight alongside Him? How do we do this?
“And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death.”
Revelation 12:11 ESV
The word here for testimony is μαρτυρίας (marturias)… it means exactly what you think it is. It’s a legal testimony…. It’s an eye witness account of what you have seen.
Do you have a testimony? A story of what God has done?
If you do: Tell people about it. Pray for the people you tell and seek to exemplify the very thing you testify to.
If you don’t:
Well… to quote Woody from Toy Story:
“If you don’t have one, Get one!”

How do you get one? Ask for one.
I’ve been reflecting a lot lately on answered prayer… and this prayer specifically.
From a very young age I was told I would be “a great pastor.”
Aware of the challenge this would pose… I asked God for the one thing I knew would help me in this venture. I asked him for stories. My pastor growing up was the master of telling stories.
So I can tell you…. If you ask… really ask….
He will answer. He will rock your life.
May you get a story.
May you demonstrate that story..
May you tell story upon story upon story out of your deep love and affection for those Jesus loves and for Jesus Himself.
