How important is spirituality in your life?
Very š I happen to have one dwelling in my soulā¦. Actually not only do I have āaā spirit. I have THE Spirit.
My rough draft for this post lookedā¦ very different at first. I planned on leaving a rather short answer and leaving it be.
My answers MAY be a bit shorter this week since we have been up with teething baby and I actually have a commute (1 week a month, canāt complain TOO much. It just throws me off)
That being said, as I lay back down next to my wifeā¦ my mind started flooding with ideas. My soul filled with excitement. My best friendā¦. The Holy Spiritā¦ got excited
Though I retained most of my contentā¦ the whole tone shifted.
You seeā¦ my body and my soul are inhabited by the person of the Living God. He compels me, drives meā¦
Not that I always give him the wheel. I have tendencies towards selfishness just like anyone. I have whole days where I question my motivation.
āIs this one for the people? Is this one for the Lordā¦ā

I reflect a great deal on why I write and create content. A lot. Mostly because the last thing I want to do is do it for me.
At the same time it is very easy to do it for me and my own vainglory.
Among other factors I have ADHD. ADHD consists of a lot of things.. in short it is a deficiency of dopamine and norepinephrine.
When I was in Texas I met a person who also has ADHDā¦
He had a sticker on his coffee mug that said:
I Follow the Dopamine

Sometimes I do follow the dopamineā¦.
BUT
In my deepest place. I really really want to follow Jesus.
That of course sets up what appears to be a competitionā¦. Dopamine V. Jesus
And though that happensā¦. Itās not meant to beā¦ not originally.
I am what I will call a recovering dualist. I have a tendency of viewing things of the body as bad, but things of the spirit as good
You see Jesus created Dopamine. It was His idea.
Not only did he create the bodyā¦. He likes the bodyā¦ In fact: He took on one so that we could see what His Father was really like.
āChrist is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we canāt seeā such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him. He existed before anything else, and he holds all creation together.ā

I DO treat my ADHD with prayer. I also treat it with medication and therapy.
Life in this body requires a wholistic approach.
So how important is spirituality to my life?
